THE PROXIMITY SERIES
The HB22 is one integral part of a highly advanced 2 way bass re-enforcement system that underpins the Revolution system with a totally immersive bass experience. Revolution provides the extreme precision and clarity demanded by the most critical of today’s artists and engineers. Along with this precision and clarity Revolution provides a truly visceral bass experience with purity rare in today’s market of mass produced under engineered and over marketed products. The bass appears to become a tangible force with enough weight and speed to move any dance floor.
The HB22 is the upper bass cabinet in the system covering the octave of 60Hz – 120Hz with the VLF25 covering the octave of 30Hz-60Hz. By splitting the signal in this way we are able to focus more clearly on the reproduction of the difficult and quite different transients that are in the bass element of a audio signal. By doing this we can achieve a far better overall efficiency, clarity and control.
HB22 Like all Revolution series cabinets is designed to be driven by the dedicated RSR (Revolution System Rack). Due to the ideally matched preconfigured amplifier and processing outputs the operator should have many years of reliable plug and play usability.
The HB22 is at the upper limits of efficiency achievable with today’s technology. HB22 achieves a sensitivity of 108.5db and maximum continues output of 140.5db from a single cabinet of only 290L. The cabinet is designed around 2 highly efficient state of the art high power 12inch drive units. These are designed with high strength neodymium motors and carbon fiber loaded cones capable of the demanding high pressure loading within the acoustic design. The drivers are also designed to be water repellent allowing them to be reliable even in the most severe conditions. The acoustic loading is a multiple chamber horn assisted design, providing excellent efficiency and control within its band pass. The cabinet has flat (-3db) frequency response of 58Hz – 320Hz and an operating frequency of 63 Hz – 126Hz when combined with the VLF25. The HB22 can also be used successfully in multiples as a standalone bass solution with the F48.
