THE REVOLUTION F48
The F48 is a truly transparent 3 way high efficiency point source cabinet capable of maintaining an accurately controlled coverage of the systems mid and high frequency content. The cabinet is designed around an advanced high efficiency co-axial drive unit with a powerful neodymium motor. This is coupled to a carefully designed 50 degree conical waveguide using a complex geometry. This unit covers the frequency range of 800 Hz – 22000 KHz (-3db) with precise control and definition. The main focus of development was in producing a waveguide with both tight control over the vocal frequency range and an extremely even off axis frequency response. These combine to provide a seamless inter cabinet summation and minimizes unwanted reflections and cancelations within the auditorium. All of this goes into providing the audience with an experience of truly immersive sound quality.
The frequency range of 68 Hz – 800 Hz (- 3db) is covered by 4 ultra high quality custom 8 inch mid/bass driver units with oversized neodymium motors. These are mounted in a quasi horn loaded manifold design, with added rear reflex porting for an extended frequency response. One of the benefits of this design is that it achieves a closer driver - driver spacing, this maintaining true driver summation within the array up to the desired crossover point. This acoustic design also helps to control dispersion and provide increased forward gain increasing the systems overall efficiency.
The F48 is an extremely versatile component of the Revolution System. It can be scaled from a large flown or ground stacked array at the most demanding of events, though to standalone device for high quality vocal projection and playback situations. In this role it can be deployed by a single crew member, often without the need for extra bass re-enforcement. It is suited to demanding high quality installations in live music venues, night clubs, theatres, casinos, sports venues & houses of worship. In fact any situation that demands highest quality audio reproduction, in a compact extremely high efficiency package!
