Proximity F21- Cabinet Overview
The Proximity F21 is the result of combining the most advanced loudspeaker drive technology with classic loading techniques into a package that performs exceptionally all day and all night, day in, day out. The Proximity F21 is capable of maintaining a level of resolution and accuracy that even the most critical musician or engineer will be more than happy with. The F21 uses superior quality state of the art components throughout achieving a level of efficiency normally only seen in horn loaded enclosures. The Mid/Bass section is designed around two extremely efficient 10inch state of the art Active Impedance Controlled (AIC) high power neodymium magnet drive units. These units employ a heavily damped carbon fibre loaded cones that have a fully water resistant coating, giving them the durability to survive even the most severe conditions. These are combined with our stunning 1.4inch exit NVP treated compression driver mated to a complex, constant directivity (60Hx50V) elliptical horn. This combination yields a controlled dispersion with lightening fast transient response times and excellent off axis response. The unit has fantastic vocal reproduction with incredibly low distortion figures.
With its small footprint and Weight of less than 25kg this unit can be stacked or rigged by a single person yet is still capable of producing 133db continuous (137db peak). The F21 has a flat frequency response of 78Hz to 21KHz @-3db and is usable down to 65hz @ -10db in a standalone format. The F21 comes with integral M10 rigging points and can be flown in arrays of up to 6 cabinets (3 wide and 2 deep). The cabinets facilitates Power Drive mounting options and a low resonance custom pole mount to ensure easy and safe installation. The F21's excellent resolution and response along with its ease of use, installation and reliability make it suitable for the highest quality installations in Theatres, Live music venues, Clubs, Casinos, and conference centres, to name a few. They are also well suited to medium scale touring applications with audiences of between 300 and 3000 people.
The F21 like all Proximity Series cabinets are designed to be driven by our PSR (Proximity System Rack). This provides a total capability of 20kw of clean power to the system. The PSR is a fully optimized amplifier and processing network that has all signal and power distribution factory installed. This provides a reliable, user friendly “plug and play” solution. The PSR can be used in conjunction with the CMR™ (Computer Monitoring Rack), to provide wireless, real time acoustic analysis of the venue, and full hard ware monitoring of all system parameters. Up to eight individual F21 can run as up to four separately controlled and processes zones in larger installations, or a system comprising up to 4xF21 and 4xB28 can be used as a main FOH system.
Like all Secrets Of Sound products the F21 is designed to be used in the most severe environmental conditions and can even be supplied with full IP rated electrical connections ensuring safe external installation.
